Game Overview
Okay, so Dark Queen of Krynn is one of those old-school Amiga RPGs that feels like diving into a dense fantasy novel. You start off with a party of adventurers—fighters, mages, clerics, the usual—and get thrown straight into the Dragonlance universe. The combat’s turn-based, but don’t expect it to hold your hand; you’ll be flipping through spell descriptions and figuring out which weird potion does what.
The second disk ramps things up with darker quests and tougher enemies. I remember getting wrecked by undead knights in some crypt because I didn’t prep the right spells. Classic D&D stuff, really. The pixel art’s charming in that late-’80s way, and the music? Surprisingly moody for its time.
If you’re into deep, slightly janky RPGs with a ton of lore, this one’s a time capsule worth cracking open.
