Game Overview

Okay, so Ghostlop (Prototype) is this weird little Neo Geo puzzle game that never actually got a full release—just a prototype ROM floating around. It’s like if someone took Tetris, gave it a ghost theme, and then cranked the chaos up to 11. You’re dropping these colored orbs onto a grid, trying to match them up to make ghosts disappear, but the physics are just unpredictable enough to keep you on your toes.

At first, it feels simple—just line up the colors, right? But then the board starts filling up, the orbs bounce in ways you don’t expect, and suddenly you’re scrambling to keep things under control. There’s something oddly satisfying about watching a chain reaction clear half the screen, though. And yeah, it’s got that classic Neo Geo aesthetic—bright colors, chunky sprites, the whole deal.

It’s not as polished as, say, Metal Slug, but that’s part of the charm. You can tell it was meant to be something bigger, but even as a prototype, it’s got this weirdly addictive quality. Definitely worth a look if you’re into obscure arcade oddities.
