Game Overview
Super Scramble Simulator_Disk1 came out on the Amiga in 1989, published by U.S. Gold Ltd. and developed by Gremlin Graphics. It was part of that wave of motocross and off-road racing games that tried to capture the feel of handling a bike on rough terrain, back when the Amiga was pushing what home computers could do with graphics and sound.
You control a motocross rider from a side view, shifting between three gears to manage your speed and traction. The main goal is to complete each track as fast as possible, navigating jumps, mud pits, and obstacles without wiping out. You can pull wheelies for style or a slight speed boost, and the perspective sometimes shifts to an overhead angle on certain sections. The pacing is demanding; timing your landings and gear shifts is crucial. It feels like a constant battle between speed and control, where one mistimed jump sends you tumbling.
