Game Overview

1869 - Erlebte Geschichte Teil I_DiskA is one of those old-school Amiga games that feels like stumbling into a history textbook—but in a good way. You’re basically thrown into the late 19th century, managing everything from railroads to factories, trying not to go bankrupt while the Industrial Revolution chugs along around you. The interface is pure retro, all pixel menus and chunky graphics, but there’s something weirdly satisfying about watching your little empire grow.

At first, I had no idea what I was doing—accidentally bankrupted my first company in like 10 minutes—but once you get the hang of supply chains and timing your investments, it gets weirdly addictive. The game doesn’t hold your hand, though. You’ll be squinting at German menus (unless you’re fluent) and making a lot of guesses. Still, if you’re into deep economic sims or just love the Amiga’s vibe, it’s a neat time capsule.
