Play 4-Way Lynx Online
Four-player split-screen maze game with power-ups, traps, and shifting obstacles. Features customizable matches and solo play. Released in 1990 for Amiga.
I remember picking up 4-Way Lynx on the Amiga back in 1990. It was a game from a small publisher, Pandora, that fit right into the era's love for competitive local multiplayer. While a lot of games were about high scores or single-player adventures, this one was built from the ground up for chaos with friends in the same room.
You control a small, colored character in a maze, and the goal is to be the last one standing. Each screen is a self-contained arena filled with power-ups like speed boosts and temporary shields, alongside instant-death traps and walls that shift without warning. The pacing is frantic; you're constantly dodging hazards while trying to outmaneuver the other players, and matches can end in seconds or stretch into tense stalemates. It feels like controlled chaos, where a single mistake or a clever trap can completely turn the game around.
