Play Action Man - Robot Atak (E)(Rising Sun) Online

You blast through robot hordes with stiff controls, explosions are hilariously over-the-top, and the voice acting sounds like it was recorded in a bathroom—pure early 2000s licensed game jank.

Game Overview

Action Man: Robot Atak came out in 2004 for the Game Boy Advance, developed by Natsume. It was part of that wave of tie-in games based on action figure lines, common for the platform at the time. You play as the hero, Action Man, trying to stop the villain, Dr. X, from unleashing his robotic army on the world.

You control Action Man through side-scrolling levels, using a basic arsenal: a blaster for ranged attacks and a sword for close combat. The main goal is to fight through waves of robots, destroy generators, and eventually confront Dr. X himself. The game uses a screen-by-screen progression system, locking you in until all enemies are defeated. Pacing is fast, but the controls can feel a bit unresponsive during hectic fights. It feels like a straightforward, slightly clunky action shooter that relies on repetition and enemy spam.
