Game Overview

Super Mario Bros. on GBA is basically the classic that started it all—just portable now. You jump into those iconic green pipes, stomp on Goombas, and chase after Bowser, who (as usual) kidnapped Princess Peach. The controls are simple—run, jump, duck—but those later levels? Brutal.

At first, grabbing a Super Mushroom feels like cheating because suddenly you’re twice your size and can take an extra hit. Then you find the Fire Flower and realize tossing fireballs at Koopas never gets old. And that invincibility star? Pure chaos mode for a few glorious seconds.

Every level hides little secrets—warp zones to skip ahead, hidden coin stashes, and those tricky flagpole jumps where you swear you timed it perfectly. Some of the later castles have fire bars that still mess me up, no matter how many times I play. It’s one of those games where you’ll remember exactly where the tricky jumps are years later.
