Game Overview
Mario Party 3 cranks up the chaos with 70 new mini-games—some are ridiculous, some are surprisingly tense, and a few will absolutely destroy friendships. The usual four-player madness is still there, racing around boards to grab stars while sabotaging everyone else, but now there’s a proper single-player Story mode if you’re flying solo. (The AI opponents cheat, obviously.)
Battle Royale is where the real screaming happens: you’re dodging snowballs, stealing coins mid-air, or desperately flailing in a chicken chase while your friends laugh at you. Duel mode strips it down to two players, but adds a sneaky twist—you get a second character to tag in, like some weird Mario wrestling match. The mini-games only trigger on certain spaces, so it’s more about board strategy than pure button-mashing.
It’s still the same gloriously unbalanced mess of luck and skill, just with more ways to lose spectacularly. If you’ve got a group willing to throw hands over a virtual snowball fight, this one’s a blast.
