Game Overview

I picked up Tetris & Dr. Mario for the Super Nintendo back in 1994, a Nintendo release that bundled two of their most straightforward puzzle games into one cartridge. It was a solid package for the system, arriving at a time when multiplayer at home was becoming a bigger deal, and it delivered exactly what you expected: no frills, just two classic games ready to go.

You control falling blocks in Tetris and colored pills in Dr. Mario, with the main objective being to clear lines or viruses before the screen fills up. The signature mechanics are the constant rotation of pieces to fit gaps and the matching of colors to eliminate targets. The pacing starts deceptively calm but the difficulty ramps up steadily, demanding faster decisions and sharper spatial awareness. It feels intensely focused, especially when you're desperately searching for that one piece to save yourself.
