Game Overview

Mario Bros. Classic is the one that started it all—no princesses, no mushrooms, just two plumbers smacking weird little creatures in the pipes. You jump under turtles to flip them over, then kick them off the screen before they wake up. Sounds simple, but it gets wild fast, especially when you're playing with a friend and accidentally bumping each other into enemies.

The controls are tight, the music’s that classic bouncy tune, and the whole thing feels like a time machine to arcades in the '80s. I love how the crabs scuttle sideways and the way the POW block sends everything flying. It’s not as flashy as the later Mario games, but there’s something satisfying about the pure, no-frills chaos of it. If you’ve only played the side-scrollers, this is a fun peek at where Mario and Luigi began.
