Action Replay GBX was the wild west of them—slip this cartridge in, and suddenly you're hacking Pokémon to give yourself infinite Rare Candies or turning Golden Sun into an easy mode playground. I used to spend hours testing random codes just to see what'd break the game in hilarious ways.
It wasn't exactly Nintendo-approved (obviously), but that's what made it fun. Half the time, entering the wrong code would glitch your save file into oblivion, but when it worked? Pure magic. Speedrunners loved it, but honestly, most of us just used it to mess around after beating a game normally.
Still kinda miss that feeling of typing in a string of numbers and suddenly having 99 of everything in Fire Emblem.
