Played AIRFORCE DELTA II (J) on GBA for a while, and it's one of those flight sims that feels surprisingly solid for a handheld. You start off with basic jets, running simple patrol missions before things escalate into full-on dogfights. The controls take some getting used to—tight turns feel a little stiff at first, but you adjust.
What stands out is how the missions throw different challenges at you. One minute you're intercepting bombers, the next you're dodging missiles in a canyon. The pixel art does a decent job selling the speed, though the small screen means you sometimes lose track of enemies in the clutter.
It's not perfect—some missions drag if you miss objectives, and the fuel mechanic can be annoying. But for a GBA flight sim, AIRFORCE DELTA II (J) holds up better than expected.
