Pick a wobbly alien and fling it through zero-gravity sports that barely follow rules—watching your jelly creature float endlessly after a "long jump" never gets old.

Alien Olympics 2044 AD is one of those weird little Game Boy games that makes you go, "Wait, what?" at first glance. You pick from a roster of aliens—some with too many limbs, others that look like sentient jelly—and then throw them into events that barely resemble actual sports. Zero-gravity sprinting? Sure. Anti-gravity long jump where they just kinda float forever? Why not.
The controls are simple, but half the fun is figuring out how each event even works. The pole vault on Mars had me laughing the first time—your alien just sort of flails upward, and the physics clearly don’t care. It’s got that early '90s charm where the developers clearly just ran with the weirdest ideas they had.
If you’re into oddball retro stuff, this is a great one to dig up. It’s short, silly, and exactly the kind of thing you’d show a friend just to see their reaction. The pixel art’s surprisingly expressive, too—you can almost feel the existential despair of the squid-like guy who keeps faceplanting in the sand pit.
