Okay, so Apidya is this weirdly charming Amiga shoot 'em up where you play as a bee—yes, a bee—blasting through insect-infested levels. The second disk ramps things up with these trippy, colorful stages that feel like someone mixed a nature documentary with a fever dream. At first, the controls feel a little floaty, but once you get used to dodging giant mantises and pollen bullets, it clicks.
The music’s surprisingly good too—synthy, upbeat, and just the right kind of cheesy. I kept getting wrecked by the boss fights until I realized you’ve gotta memorize their patterns like an old-school arcade game. Not gonna lie, it’s tough, but in that satisfying way where you actually want to try again.
