You control a young boy exploring a fantasy world, moving screen by screen through fields, towns, and dungeons. The main goal involves a quest to rescue a kidnapped girl, which pushes you to talk to villagers, gather clues, and slowly uncover the story. Combat is turn-based; when an enemy sprite touches you, the view shifts to a separate battle screen where you select attacks, use items, or try to flee. You'll also collect various key items to progress, often by solving simple environmental puzzles or defeating specific monsters.
