Play Asterix & Obelix XXL Online

I picked up Asterix & Obelix XXL on Game Boy Advance back in 2004, published by Atari. It was one of those licensed games that felt right at home on the handheld, a straightforward beat 'em up with a familiar comic book look. At the time, it was a solid choice if you wanted something simple and action packed to play on the go, without a lot of the complexity you'd find in other titles from that era.

You control either Asterix or Obelix, each with their own style of combat, as you fight through waves of Roman soldiers across different levels. The main goal is to rescue your fellow villagers by clearing out enemy camps and moving screen by screen. You break objects in the environment to find health and power ups, solve simple puzzles to progress, and occasionally face larger enemies or bosses. The pacing is quick, and the difficulty stays manageable, though it can get a bit repetitive after a while. It feels satisfying to plow through Romans with such exaggerated force, even if the action doesn't change much from start to finish.
