You play as this weird, kinda cool half-human, half-cyborg thing that can fly and hover in place—which comes in handy when you're dodging bullets and picking off enemies across 28 levels of side-scrolling chaos. The controls take a minute to get used to (holding altitude feels oddly satisfying once it clicks), but blasting through waves of enemies is worth it. Some drop these glowing gems that slowly build up your firepower—nothing crazy at first, but eventually you're shooting in three directions at once and feeling unstoppable. Just don't get cocky—those later levels get brutal fast.
