Backyard Skateboarding GBA is one of those simple but fun skateboarding games that feels like it was made for quick sessions. You start off with basic tricks, ollies and grinds, but the controls take a bit to get used to—landing feels stiff at first.
The backyard setting is small but has enough ramps and rails to mess around with. I remember trying to chain tricks together and bailing half the time, but when you finally nail a combo, it’s satisfying in that old-school way. The races against AI skaters are okay, though they don’t offer much challenge.
