Bamse is a Game Boy game from 1993, developed by Nordic Soft and published by Kemco. The game is based on a popular Swedish comic book character, a strong bear who protects his friends.

You control Bamse, moving through side-scrolling levels to rescue his kidnapped friends. Your main actions involve punching enemies with your large paws and using Thunder Honey, a power-up that temporarily grants you super strength and lets you throw boulders. The game is structured level by level, with some light platforming and simple enemy patterns. It can be surprisingly difficult in spots, with some awkward jumps and enemy placements. Playing it feels like flipping through a slightly clumsy but earnest comic book page by page.
