If you’ve played Mystic Towers, you might remember Baron Baldric—but this weird little Amiga game is where he first showed up. It’s a side-scroller, but don’t expect mindless action. You’re basically raiding your own family’s cursed tomb under Castle Pedabouch, dodging traps, lighting lamps before they burn out, and stuffing your face with food so you don’t starve. Yeah, survival mechanics in a 90s platformer. Weird, right?
The whole thing feels like a mix of Impossible Mission 2 and Montezuma’s Revenge, with this grim backstory about an ancestor who got into a werewolf tyrant and got stoned to death by peasants. Classic Apogee charm, honestly. Also, good luck finding a copy—apparently the registered version only sold in Australia, so it’s basically gaming archaeology at this point.
Just watch out for Rosie’s ghost. She’s still haunting the place.
