Play Batman : Vengeance Online
Joker fakes his death, Gotham goes wild, and you're switching between brawling thugs, dodging traffic in the Batmobile, and even solving puzzles as Robin—somehow it all clicks.

Batman: Vengeance on the GBA is one of those licensed games that actually gets it right. It starts with a classic setup—Joker pulls a heist, takes a dive off Gotham Bridge (or does he?), and suddenly every other villain in Gotham starts scrambling for power. The art style nails the animated series vibe, which is a nice touch.
What surprised me was how much variety there is. One minute you're doing side-scrolling brawler stuff, punching thugs and tossing batarangs, the next you're in a top-down Batmobile chase dodging traffic. The Batplane sections feel like a proper shoot 'em up, and then there are these weirdly satisfying puzzle stages where Robin has to push crates and use a little remote-controlled bot to sneak through vents. It shouldn’t all work together, but it does.
And yeah, the console version’s cutscenes are just stills here, but they’re well-chosen—enough to keep the story moving without dragging. Once you beat it, there’s an "Advance Mode" that remixes the levels with time limits and hidden collectibles, which actually makes replaying them fun instead of tedious. Not bad for a GBA Batman game.
