Game Overview
Battle Trucks on the Amiga is one of those games that looks simple at first—just trucks driving around, right? But then you realize it's basically Mad Max meets bumper cars, and suddenly you're hooked. The disk whirrs, the screen loads up with these chunky pixel trucks, and within minutes you're slamming into opponents, dodging mines, and trying not to spin out on oil slicks.
The controls take a second to get used to—steering feels a little floaty at first—but once you get the hang of it, weaving through traffic and ramming other trucks off the road becomes weirdly satisfying. The tracks are small but packed with hazards, and the AI doesn’t mess around. You’ll lose a few rounds before figuring out the best way to corner without flipping over.
It’s not the deepest racer out there, but there’s something about the chaos of it that makes it hard to put down. The sound effects are crunchy in that classic Amiga way, and the explosions never get old. If you’re into old-school vehicular mayhem, this one’s a solid time.
