Remember that old BattleBots TV show where people smashed homemade robots together? This GBA game nails that chaotic energy. You start by building your own bot—choosing between spinning saws, hammers, or flamethrowers (I always went for the spinning death wheel). Then you throw it into the BattleBox against real bots from the show like BioHazard or Vlad the Impaler.
The arenas are full of hazards—conveyor belts, spikes, even flamethrower traps—so half the fun is watching bots get yeeted into walls. You can play solo in tournaments or link up with friends for 4-player mayhem. Just don’t get too attached to your bot’s armor—it’ll be scrap metal by round two.
It’s janky in that early 2000s handheld way, but the customization and sheer destruction make up for it. Perfect for short bursts of robot carnage.
