It was one of those licensed games that felt very much of its time, sitting on the shelf next to other cartoon and movie tie-ins. The game didn't try to be anything grand; it was just a straightforward adaptation of the show's humor for the 16-bit era.

You control either Beavis or Butt-head, navigating through side-scrolling levels set in familiar locations like the school or the mall. The main goal is to find tickets to a GWAR concert, which involves a lot of interacting with objects and causing trouble. You spit projectiles at enemies, break open lockers and vending machines for items, and solve simple environmental puzzles, like moving boxes to reach higher areas. The pacing is slow and the controls are deliberately clumsy, which adds to the frustration but also fits the characters' incompetence. It feels exactly like guiding two idiots through their own poorly thought-out schemes.
