Berenstain Bears Camping Adventure is one of those Genesis games that feels like slipping into a warm, familiar storybook. You play as Brother and Sister Bear, wandering through forests, fishing by the lake, and poking around caves—basically, all the wholesome camping vibes you'd expect from the books. The raccoons stealing your food? Yeah, that part's less wholesome, but at least it gives you something to chase.
It's not super hard, but that's kind of the point. There are little mini-games tucked in everywhere, like skipping stones or matching animal tracks, and the pixel art nails that cozy '90s children's book look. My younger cousin got obsessed with the fishing part and refused to move on for like 20 minutes. If you grew up with the Bears or just want something cheerful and low-stakes, it's a nice little time capsule.
Just don't go in expecting a platforming masterpiece—it's more about the mood than the challenge.
