It’s got that same cozy, slightly pixelated charm as old-school virtual pet games—you’ll brush scruffy little dogs, toss balls for kittens, and try not to get emotionally attached when they give you those big, blocky eyes.
The mini-games are simple (think fetch races or obstacle courses), but weirdly satisfying once you figure out the timing. My first cat kept ignoring commands until I realized the GBA’s D-pad inputs are weirdly specific. Pro tip: spamming buttons does nothing except make your pet look at you like you’ve lost it.
It’s not deep, but that’s the point. Perfect for bus rides or when you just want to decompress with something that doesn’t require strategy guides. The German title might throw you off, but the menus are easy enough to navigate even if you only know "sit" and "stay."
