Blades of Thunder came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2002, published by Majesco Entertainment. It was part of that wave of early GBA titles that tried to bring a more intense, arcade style of action to the handheld, something you could pick up and play in short bursts without a lot of setup.
You pilot an attack helicopter through a series of missions, flying over varied terrain to destroy enemy bases and convoys. The core of the game is managing your movement while targeting ground units like tanks and missile launchers; you have to constantly dodge incoming fire while lining up your own shots. The levels are linear but packed with threats, demanding quick reflexes and careful use of your limited special weapons.
