Blender Bros. came out on the Game Boy Advance in 2002, developed by Hudson Soft. It was one of those quirky platformers that felt right at home on the GBA, a system full of experimental and offbeat titles that didn't always get a huge spotlight but found their audience.
You control Blender, a rabbit-like character who attacks by spinning his large ears to hit enemies. The main goal is to explore levels screen by screen, defeating foes and collecting fruit to summon and upgrade a variety of Mini Bros. These little helpers follow you and assist in combat, each with different abilities; some just bump into things, while others shoot projectiles or cause bigger effects. The game mixes standard platforming with sudden, frantic kart racing segments where you have to outrun a screen-clearing explosion. The pacing shifts between methodical exploration and these intense escape sequences, making for an unpredictable challenge. It feels chaotic and a little silly, but in a way that keeps you pushing forward to see what oddity comes next.
