BMX Trick Racer on the GBA is one of those games that feels faster than it should—like your bike’s about to rattle apart mid-backflip. The controls are tight, but not so forgiving that you can just button-mash your way through. You’ll actually need to time those spins and landings, or you’ll eat dirt. A lot.
The tracks twist and loop in this weird pseudo-3D way (Mode7 magic, I guess), making jumps feel way more dramatic than most GBA racers. Half the fun is just seeing how long you can hold a wheelie before faceplanting into a ramp. And yeah, it’s arcadey as hell—no realism here, just pure, ridiculous stunts.
If you’ve got a soft spot for early 2000s extreme sports games but wish they were less about looking cool and more about barely surviving your own tricks, this one’s a blast. Just don’t blame me when you spend an hour trying to nail that perfect 360.
