Bomber Boy is basically Bomberman’s little brother on the Game Boy—same explosive fun, just crammed into that tiny green screen. You’re dropping bombs in tight mazes, blasting through blocks and dodging weird little enemies that look like they escaped from an 8-bit petting zoo. At first, it feels almost too simple, but then you realize you’ve been cornered by three fireball-spewing… things, and suddenly you’re sweating over pixel-perfect timing.
The multiplayer is where it really shines, though. Back in the day, you’d huddle around a link cable with a friend, trying not to accidentally blow yourself up while plotting their demise. Even now, there’s something weirdly therapeutic about clearing a path through the chaos, one perfectly placed bomb at a time. Just don’t get cocky—those later levels get brutal.
It’s the kind of game you’ll pick up for five minutes and somehow lose an hour to. Classic, chaotic, and still weirdly satisfying decades later.
