Booby Boys is this weirdly charming Game Boy sequel to Booby Kids—you play as one of two little dudes (or two-player co-op!) running through maze-like stages across different time periods. First thing you’ll notice? The controls are floaty as heck, but you get used to it after a few jumps into pits you totally meant to avoid.
Each stage is basically a treasure hunt—grab all the loot scattered around, and the exit key appears. Sounds simple until you realize half the enemies bounce unpredictably or shoot fireballs from off-screen. The last stage of each era throws a boss at you, and if you win, you rescue one of the "Booby Girls" (because of course that’s their name).
It’s janky, colorful, and weirdly satisfying once you get the hang of dodging those cheap enemy patterns. The music’s also way catchier than it has any right to be.
