Boot, Das is one of those classic Amiga submarine sims that makes you feel like you're actually crammed into a U-boat. The controls take a minute to get used to—half the time I was just trying to remember which button raised the periscope—but once you get the hang of it, there's something weirdly satisfying about silently stalking convoys in the North Atlantic. The sonar pings still give me anxiety.
Graphics are what you'd expect from an Amiga title of its era: functional, with just enough detail to make you squint at the horizon for enemy ships. The manual's practically required reading unless you enjoy trial-and-error torpedo misses. Not exactly fast-paced, but tense in that slow, creeping way only submarine games pull off.
