BreakThru! is one of those Game Boy puzzlers that feels simple at first—just tap groups of matching colored bricks to clear them—but gets surprisingly tense once the timer starts ticking down. The more bricks you remove in one go, the bigger the chain reaction when everything collapses. Mess up, and you’ll watch helplessly as the wall creeps closer to the top.
It’s got that same “just one more try” hook as Tetris, but with a different kind of strategy. Sometimes you’re better off clearing small chunks fast, other times you wait for the perfect combo. The colors pop nicely on the Game Boy’s screen, too. Definitely a hidden gem if you like quick, satisfying puzzle games.
