Bust-A-Move 3 DX on Game Boy is basically a stripped-down version of Bust-A-Move '99—same core gameplay, just adapted for the handheld. Since the Game Boy’s screen couldn’t handle full color, the bubbles are different shades instead, which honestly makes some matches a little trickier to spot at first. You get two modes: arcade (classic single-player or against AI) and challenge (25 levels to speedrun).
If you’ve never played Bust-A-Move before, here’s how it works: you’ve got a cannon at the bottom, bubbles raining down from above, and you’re shooting colored (well, shaded) orbs to make matches and clear the board. It’s simple but weirdly satisfying when you pull off a long chain reaction.
