Game Overview

Captain Dynamo is one of those Amiga platformers that looks simple at first—until you realize just how devious the level design is. You play as a washed-up superhero trying to reclaim stolen diamonds from some guy named Austen van Flyswatter (yes, really), and each level is this vertical maze of platforms, traps, and weird booster pads that fling you across the screen.

The first few diamonds are easy grabs, but then you’ll spot one just out of reach, taunting you from behind a row of spikes. That’s when the real puzzle starts—figuring out the right sequence of jumps, timing your boosts, and occasionally faceplanting into a trap because you misjudged the momentum. There’s something satisfying about finally nabbing that one diamond you’ve been eyeing for the last three attempts.

The Amiga version only has six levels instead of twelve, but each one’s packed with enough tricky layouts to keep you busy. Just don’t be surprised if you end up replaying the same section over and over… in a good way.
