What makes it fun is how shamelessly you can manipulate things. Your "contacts" include a secret police chief who'll arrest opponents, a DJ who spreads propaganda, and a priest who... sells weapons on the side. There's something darkly funny about watching your submarine fleet (because of course the navy minister wants subs) blow up political rivals after a failed negotiation.
It's janky in that classic early '90s way, but the sheer absurdity of the premise holds up. Just don't expect deep strategy—this is more about embracing the chaos.
