You control a young boy named Alex, who must navigate a haunted castle room by room. Your main goal is to find your friends and escape, which involves solving environmental puzzles, avoiding or outsmarting various ghosts, and collecting special items to unlock new areas. The combat is simple, mostly using a flashlight to stun enemies or a slingshot to hit switches from a distance. The pacing is deliberate, with a focus on exploration and figuring out how to progress rather than fast action. It feels like a compact, thoughtful puzzle box dressed up for Halloween.
