So, Cedric and the Lost Sceptre is this quirky little Amiga game where you play as Cedric, a lovestruck guy trying to impress a king by finding his missing royal stick. It’s part adventure, part platformer—you’ll be jumping on enemies’ heads one minute, then fumbling through dialogue options the next. The conversation choices pop up unexpectedly, which keeps you on your toes, and the sword combat feels just clunky enough to be charming.

The levels are packed with tricky jumps and hidden goodies—extra lives, better weapons, the usual. Some of those platforming sections are brutal, though. I swear, half my deaths were from mistiming a leap over a pit while some goblin chucked rocks at me. But when you finally nail a tricky sequence or solve one of the oddball puzzles (why did that merchant want a turnip?), it’s weirdly satisfying. Just don’t expect the princess to be impressed until you’ve cleared all 11 levels.
