Chaos in Andromeda: Eyes of the Eagle is one of those classic Amiga sci-fi adventures where you’re thrown into the 22nd century with a mission that sounds simple—rescue a kidnapped scientist—but of course, the whole galaxy’s at stake. You’ll spend most of your time exploring the planet from a top-down view, clicking those little symbols around the screen edges to talk to NPCs or interact with stuff. Some of them actually give useful hints, others just make you wish you hadn’t bothered.

Movement’s in real-time, which means enemies can sneak up on you if you’re not paying attention. When they do, the game switches to a separate battle screen—clunky by today’s standards, but hey, it’s the Amiga. Later on, you get an android buddy to help in fights, which is a relief because early combat feels like punching a brick wall. Oh, and you’ll dump points into stats like strength and wisdom, though I always maxed strength first—turns out being smart doesn’t help much when space bandits are shooting at you.

It’s got that weird charm only old-school games have, where the interface makes zero sense until you’ve accidentally clicked the wrong symbol five times.
