Game Overview

Choro Q Advance 2 is one of those racing games that just feels different—like someone shrunk a full arcade racer into a tiny toy car and then cranked the fun up to 11. The first thing you’ll notice is how absurdly charming the cars are, with their oversized headlights and cartoonish proportions. They look like they rolled straight out of a gacha machine.

You start by picking your ride (I went with the bug-eyed hatchback) and immediately dive into races where drifting around corners feels way smoother than it has any right to on a GBA. The tracks are packed with sneaky shortcuts—some hidden behind breakable walls, others just barely wide enough to squeeze through if you time it right. And the power-ups? Pure chaos. One minute you’re dropping banana peels, the next you’re zipping ahead with a rocket boost.

What really hooked me was the customization. Swapping engines, tweaking suspension, even slapping on goofy decals—it all actually changes how your car handles. My first build was way too slidey, but after some tinkering, I had this little monster that could corner like it was on rails. The sequel adds more tracks and some wild minigames, too, like a demolition derby mode where your tiny car suddenly feels indestructible.

If you miss the days when racing games didn’t take themselves too seriously, this one’s a blast.
