Chrono Quest feels like a weird, moody hybrid—part point-and-click adventure, part interactive novel with static but detailed Amiga graphics. You start off in this gloomy 1920s mansion, accused of murdering your own father, and honestly, the atmosphere nails that "something's very wrong here" vibe right away.

Instead of a cursor, you interact with icons along the screen edges—took me a minute to get used to it, but it gives the whole thing a tactile, almost board-game feel. Then, of course, you stumble onto a time machine (because why not?), and suddenly you're hopping through history trying to clear your name. The writing's solid, and the still images do a lot of heavy lifting—don’t expect flashy animations, but the art’s got this eerie charm to it.

If you’re into slow-burn mysteries with a side of time travel, this one’s a neat little time capsule (pun very much intended).
