Code Breaker is one of those GBA games that sneaks up on you—it looks simple at first, just colored pegs and number hints, but before long you're hunched over your screen muttering, "Okay, if red was correct but in the wrong spot last turn..."

It's basically Mastermind with that satisfying Game Boy tactile feel. The codes start easy, then suddenly you're sweating over six-digit combinations where every wrong guess stings just enough to make the eventual solve feel like a tiny victory. No fancy animations or storylines, just you versus increasingly devious patterns.

Weirdly addictive for something so minimalist. I lost a bus ride to this once, barely looked up until my stop. If you like puzzles that ramp up slowly but ruthlessly, this little cartridge’s got your back.
