Corruption came out on the Amiga in 1988, published by Rainbird and developed by Strand Games. You play as a London stockbroker named David Lindsell, who has been framed for insider trading. The goal is to clear your name by investigating the crime over the course of one frantic day. You interact with the world by typing classic text parser commands like "talk to secretary" or "examine desk," gathering evidence and interviewing a cast of suspicious characters. The game unfolds in real time, with events and phone calls happening at specific hours, which creates a genuine sense of pressure as you race against the clock. It feels like being the lead in your own tense financial thriller, where every conversation could be a trap and every clue might break the case wide open.
