Crayon Shin-Chan 3 came out on the Game Boy in 1994, published by Bandai. It was one of those many licensed games from that era, based on the popular anime about a mischievous little kid. You didn't see a lot of games like this get localized back then, so it felt like a quirky, niche thing to stumble upon if you were into imports or just curious.
You control Shin-chan through a series of side-scrolling stages, running and jumping to navigate his neighborhood and house. The main goal is usually just to cause trouble, like avoiding his mother's attacks or pulling pranks on other characters. A couple of the signature mechanics involve using specific items at the right time to progress or triggering short, silly cutscenes. The pacing is fairly relaxed, not too hard, but some parts can feel a bit repetitive. It feels like playing a short, interactive episode of the show.
