Crazy Seasons is this weirdly charming Amiga game where you play as two penguin scientists trying to fix their busted time machine before it scrambles Earth’s seasons. The whole thing starts with a crash screen parodying the Amiga’s infamous "Guru Meditation" error—which already tells you this game doesn’t take itself too seriously.

At first glance, it feels like Bubble Bobble—same cute enemies, same food-dropping mechanics—but instead of clearing screens, you’re solving block puzzles. You’ve got to push these geometric blocks into specific patterns while dodging enemies (or shoving blocks into them for a quick KO). Sometimes you’ll grab a cowboy hat and revolver power-up, which is as ridiculous as it sounds, and suddenly you’re a penguin gunslinger.

Every few levels, you’ll hit a boss fight—everything from angry cows to full-on dragons—and the soundtrack mixes original tunes with these surprisingly good 16-bit remixes of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons. There are little cutscenes between seasons too, packed with silly slapstick humor. It’s chaotic, a bit janky, and totally endearing.
