Crazy Taxi - Catch A Ride (E) on GBA is basically the same chaotic driving you remember, just shrunk down. The screen feels cramped, but somehow the madness still works. You weave through traffic, hop curbs, and try not to flip your cab while the timer ticks down.
The controls take some getting used to - the shoulder buttons for drifting feel stiff at first. But after a few crashes, you start nailing those sharp turns just before the passenger freaks out. The pixelated pedestrians still wave their arms when you nearly run them over, which never gets old.
It's not as smooth as the arcade version, but for a portable Crazy Taxi, it does the job. You'll still catch yourself leaning into turns like it'll help. The music's missing, though, so you might wanna hum the Offspring to yourself.
