CT Special Forces 2: Back in the Trenches came out on Game Boy Advance in 2003, developed by LSP. You control a special forces soldier through a series of side-scrolling missions, clearing areas of hostile troops and completing objectives like destroying enemy equipment or rescuing hostages. The game uses a screen-by-screen progression system; you move forward only after eliminating all enemies in the current view. Signature mechanics include using a variety of firearms, switching between primary and secondary weapons on the fly, and employing grenades to flush out entrenched opponents. The pacing is aggressive, and the difficulty can spike unexpectedly, especially when dealing with off-screen snipers or sudden enemy reinforcements. It feels tense and immediate, demanding quick reflexes and smart positioning to survive.
