Play Cult Jump Online
Bounce your robed cultist up crumbling, sliding platforms—one wrong jump sends you tumbling back to the bottom while eerie chiptunes mock your failure. The higher you climb, the more the game messes with you.

Cult Jump was a Game Boy release from 1990, developed by a small team whose name escapes me now. It arrived during that era when platformers were everywhere, but this one had a strange, almost somber vibe that set it apart from the more colorful adventures crowding the system.
You control a lone figure in a dark robe, tasked with ascending a massive, ever shifting tower. Your main goal is simply to reach the top, screen by screen, but the journey is everything. The core mechanics are all about precision jumping on platforms that often crumble or slide away the instant you land; one missed timing means a long fall and starting the section over. You also collect glowing sigils scattered on ledges, which are required to unlock the door to the next stage. The pacing is deliberately slow and tense, demanding patience over speed, and the difficulty is unforgiving. It feels like a quiet, lonely struggle against the architecture itself.
