Play Cyberdrive Zoids (J)(Rising Sun) Online
Hop into animal-shaped mechs and rip through levels—boost-dodging lasers, then shredding enemies with a well-timed claw attack. The wolf Zoid with twin blades? Yeah, it’s basically easy mode.

Game Overview
Cyberdrive Zoids (J)(Rising Sun) is one of those GBA games that somehow slipped under the radar, which is a shame because it’s a total blast. You jump into these ridiculously cool Zoids—half-machine, half-animal mechs—and tear through levels like a high-speed anime battle. The controls feel tight, and there’s something weirdly satisfying about boosting around, dodging lasers, then countering with a perfectly timed claw swipe.
The Rising Sun version throws in extra Zoids and missions, so if you’re into collecting and upgrading, there’s plenty to dig into. I spent way too long tweaking my loadout before realizing the wolf-type Zoid with dual blades was basically cheating. It’s got that arcade-y vibe where you can just pick it up and play, but there’s enough depth to keep you experimenting with different builds.
If you’ve ever wanted to pilot a roaring metal dinosaur while blowing up enemy mechs, this is the closest you’ll get on a Game Boy Advance. Just don’t blame me when you get obsessed with unlocking every last Zoid.
