Play Cyraid Online

Cyraid is one of those weird little Game Boy gems where you’re either a Warrior or Fighter (they play exactly the same, so don’t stress the choice) on a mission to save your mom from a mad scientist’s space fortress. You’ll bounce between four stages, smashing blocks and kicking ladders to find energy pods—each one unlocks the door to the next chaotic room.

Watch out for enemies, though. They don’t attack, but bumping into them costs you a life. Scattered around are power-ups that let you move faster, break tougher blocks, or even shoot missiles. Just when you think you’ve got a rhythm, a giant rock monster stomps in and respawns all the blocks you just destroyed. Annoying? Yes. Also kind of hilarious when it traps you in a corner.

There are alternate paths and boss fights to keep things interesting, plus passwords so you don’t have to replay the whole thing in one go. It’s janky in that classic Game Boy way, but weirdly addictive once you get the hang of it.
